Coastal Places

Coastal Places is the home of White House Lodge, Lobster Cottage, Hill Cottage and The Chymes Holiday Flats. Located on Lancashire's Fylde Coast, and The Isle of Coll in Scotland's Inner Hebrides.

Since we have been offering holidays in our properties under their own separate brands, in 2021 we decided to bring them all under the brand of Coastal Places.

Our properties are individually styled but are all recommended for the discerning customer, looking for holidays and breaks in fantastic locations, with well equipped living rooms and kitchens.  

Stay with confidence

We take great pride in our properties and aim to give our guests a fantastic experience. We ask all our guests for feedback through questionnaires on departure, online surveys, and feedback from the agencies that also book guests into our properties. An example is our 9.6 out of 10 rating for Lobster Cottage on Booking.com. Our properties all have guest books where reviews are left for future guests to see. A selection can be found here

We have received a number of awards since we started out, ranging from The Daily Telegraph Homebuild and Renovation Award in 2013 for White House Lodge to the Featured Small Accomodation Badge for the Chymes Holiday Flats in St Annes on Sea recieved in 2021.

About us

Coastal Places are bought to you by Charlotte and Lauchlan. We live in Lytham, have our offices in St Annes, and holiday on The Isle of Coll (where Lauchlan grew up).

Our entry into holiday rentals started in 2012 when we completed the building works at White House Lodge on The Isle of Coll. Lobster Cottage in Lytham was added in 2017 having previously been a simple buy-to-let. In 2017 we aquired four slightly dated holiday flats in St Annes which were then refurbished and updated, ready for relaunch in 2021. Hill Cottage on The Isle of Coll was taken over from Lauchlan's parents in 2019, fully refurbished and launched in 2020.

Today we love ensuring our guests have the most perfect stay at our properties, by keeping them updated, repaired and constantly adding little touches to improve their experience. Over the years, other than redecorating we have replaced floor coverings, added a kids playground, updated kitchen inventories, added Nespresso coffee machines, improved the WIFI and written extensive holiday guides for guests.

We also love beaches!
